A couple weeks after wrapping the trunk, my tree started to thrive again! I was grateful for a cheap, easy way to fix my investment.This nursery is well laid out and very well taken care of. They were able to quickly and easily tell me the problem and sold me some sun protective tape to wrap around the trunk in order to protect it from the sun. I really appreciated that, especially since I was very unfamiliar with Arizona landscaping.This is also a great place to come for plant advice! When one of my trees was having some problems (almost a year after I bought it), I brought a picture of it to the nursery.

I admired that she was willing to 'risk' losing a sale in order to make sure I didn't buy a tree that may have been destined to fail in my particular set up. The staff is especially knowledgeable about plants that thrive in the summer heat, and they are great about giving advice on anything you're looking to do in your yard!I was also impressed at the lack of a sale-sy experience! I was interested in a tree that would NOT have worked well in my particular yard set-up, and the lady I spoke with was very upfront with me about how it may not look as good in completely-exposed-full-sun-all-day.

We moved here from out of state and bought a house with nothing but dirt in the backyard. One of the best nurseries I've been to across the U.S.! We've almost exclusively bought all of our plants (trees, bushes, ground cover plants, and succulents) at Desert Horizon Nursery since we moved to Arizona at the end of 2021.
